Jeff Boyd’s FFA group from Creston School District came again this year to Incandescent Ironworks for a blacksmithing class on November 1 and 2. We had a great time with Jeff, Liam, Donovan, Corvyn, Isaac, and Isaac’s dad Loren. Two 8-hour days of steady hammering but no blisters — how can this be?? With some of the group working on gas forges and some on the coke forge, we made S-hooks, drive hooks, punches and chisels, candle holders, trivets, a BBQ rake, oak leaves, leaf coat hooks, acorns, and flowering branches.
