NWBA Mentoring Center TONG MAKING WORKSHOPS
February 22, 2014, 9 AM – 5 PM
Cowlitz Expo Center, Longview, WA
Two Tong making workshops with instructor Tri Ficker.
9:00 a.m.- Noon First Tong Making workshop
Tri will demonstrate and instruct the making of box jaw tongs.
Tong blanks will be provided with the reins pre-drawn out, so students will be able to concentrate on the breakout of the working end of the tongs.
12:00 p.m. LUNCH break
1:00 p.m. – 5 p.m. Second Tong Making workshop
Tri will demonstrate and instruct the making of Poz style tongs (v-bit).
Tong blanks will be provided with the reins pre-drawn out, so students will be able to concentrate on the breakout of the working end of the tongs
These workshops will be conducted like our hands-on classes at our conferences:
Eight names will be drawn at 9:00 AM for the morning class and at 1:00 PM for the afternoon class, the selected will be hands on students.
The cost is $30 for each hands on class (for those participating as a hands on student).
Everyone else is invited to audit the classes at no charge.
