Northwest Jewelry & Metals Symposium 2017

Date/Time
Date(s) - 10/14/2017
All Day

The Seattle Metals Guild’s Symposium Committee is pleased to announce the details of the upcoming 22nd annual Northwest Jewelry and Metals Symposium. This year’s stellar speaker line-up includes Montreal-based jeweler, author, world traveler, and Toolbox Initiative co-creator Matthieu Cheminée; New Orleans-based modernist sculptor and post-industrial, 21st century blacksmith Rachel David; self-taught engineer, inventor, and kinetic sculptor Arthur Ganson; San Francisco Bay Area art jeweler, curator, and Shibumi Gallery owner April Higashi; and Detroit interdisciplinary sculptor and jewelry artist Tiff Massey.

We return to Broadway on Capitol Hill for fresh faces and old favorites, including our coveted silent auctions, and Charon Kransen’s selection of rare art books. Festivities continue into the evening as we kick up our heels, grab a glass and continue the conversation at our Symposium after-party.

But wait! There’s more to enjoy all weekend, including a Steel Mill Tour, Friday, October 13th (space is limited); and Sunday events, including a Seattle Metals Guild Exhibition at KOBO at Higo, and an Open House at Equinox Studios, an artist enclave in Georgetown, Seattle.
