Pratt Intermediate Blacksmithing : Forged Panel

This class will show students how to apply techniques learned in the beginning classes, half faced blows and twists, while introducing new skills, punching holes and riveting, to design and build a frame with infill.  You will use this simple design as a starting point to bend, shape and incorporate your own aesthetic into a finished piece.  This project is meant to spark your imagination in the direction of making a purely artistic wall hanging or how to apply these techniques towards something more functional.

Prerequisite – Beginning Blacksmithing or equivalent.
