I finally got around to making a guillotine for my treadle hammer. I have attached a couple of photos and a link to a video on YouTube.

Thanks Double_Edge2. It was fun designing the guillotine. I am very much an amature smith, and had a hard time cutting a streight and centered line with a chisel. This tool makes up for my inadequacies! The other thing I like is the ability to easily make a variety of tooling. I have never been "Down Under" but my wife and I hope to make the trip some day.

Yep wel if your trips brings you near Brisbane, give us a hoy...

I recently scored a fly press, that will be my straight line maker, and anything else I can make the tooling for, although with out the guide, my lines may still not line up...lol.

If we get your way I will look you up! I met a guy on line who has a fly press and loves it. I hope to get a 25# Little Giant one day. At 65 and a card carrying member of AARP my soar body can't take the abuse it used to. A 2 pound hammer is my limit and it is slow going on anything thicker than a half inch.
