I tried to put this on yesterday at lunch, but messed up. So Karen put the pictures on picasa today.

I am not a knife maker, but I thought I'd do something different to illustrate some techniques for deviding up and displacing metal. These pictures show two sided tapers perpendicular to each other done across the near and far sides of the anvil and two sided tapers parallel to each other.

Cool,
I never seen anyone forge a knife in this manner. Seems to have demonstrated a great end result though. Just proves there are lots of ways to accomplish the same thing.
