I have not got it yet. Chances are I won't seing as I havn't heard yet. I have a pattern on the go that I will be delivering to this customer later this week. I am going to ask about this job at the time.
I hear what you are saying Gene. But sometimes it is also better to let the guy who will do it cheap have the job and save your time for the profitable jobs.

I can really relate to what John is saying. Most of the clients who can afford the work we do as artists quote frankly are willing to pay for having art fulfill there vision. In the past I undercharged dramatically for my work which in my opinion undervalues you as an artist in that market especially with designers. Unfortunately now that this is how I make my living, I do not have enough forge work to keep my shop going so when I weld l have to be competitive in that field which means I quote shop rate.
