Jeffrey Funk will not be able to demonstrate at our fall 2010
NWBA conference. Jeffrey damaged his shoulder and will need
surgery to repair the damage. He was very disappointed and sends
his apologies to the association. He hopes that we will invite him
again when he has recovered from his injury. He is still on our “A List”
and we hope to have him at a conference soon.

I am very happy to announce that Tri Ficker has agreed to
replace Jeffrey as one of our principal demonstrators. Tri is an
excellent smith from Port Townsend, Washington and as we get
closer to the conference, we will provide more information on Tri and
his demonstration.

Larry and his race crew will be bringing the Ironwood Derby
track to Stevenson. This was lots of fun at Larry’s Hammer-In and we
expect to see a whole lot more cars for the next race. Prizes for the
winners! Rules – 4” wide, 5lbs. max.

Remember – Camping is free, except for those who wish to
have power and water which is $20.00 for the weekend. I have it on
good authority that the weather will be really nice, but you might want
to bring your rain gear, just in case!

We would love to see a great gallery this time. Please bring one
of your favorite items for all of us to see. It’s always fun to see it in the
next Hot Iron News.

And, don’t forget the auction. Funds raised at our auctions help
us provide our membership with quality programs and services,
educational grants, and, of course, great conferences.

See you all in Stevenson
And
Don’t forget your tomahawks and race cars!
