Moved in a couple months ago with my Lady, and things sort of sorted themselves, but all we had was a bed and a table and some chairs. I now have a coffee table and am getting a couch to make a "living room" space, even though our Apartment is one giant room with a staircase in the middle (3rd floor).

I find it funny trying to figure out where things will go, it's easy to do in a shop with equipment, but hard in a apartment LOL.

You could make some room dividers out of a
frame made of 3/4 or 1" square tube with some
scrolls or other in the middle.

Keep that girlfriend happy.:p

I was thinking something similar. Now is your chance to decorate with stuff you've made.

What I learned from Ianto Evans:

Ask "what do we want to do in this space?" and ask "how do we want to do it?" When answering, try to dump the stuff that doesn't matter and celebrate the stuff that does matter.

Then arrange the space to accommodate the good folk who live in it.

But, yeah, forged room dividers would always be cool.

No matter where you go... there you are.
