I am a fan of steel handle folders, Schrade in particular had a line of wire handle folders, some patened in the 20's and 40's. This is one made for powder monkeys, no not the white powder some of you are thinking about, black gun powder, dynamite. The bronze blade wouldn't spark, however the handle is steel, a bronze handle and blade pin may have been safer.

Bought it on ebay, along with some boy and girl scout Schrade knife knife, fork spoon kits. Won't show it all at once, don't want you to get spoiled.

David, It's not a lockback, here is a site of a collector of wire jack knives, he compiled a lot of info on wire handle Schrade Knives.

They are good examples for making a simple folder.
