Damn and Blast!!! I just read the HIN on-line (thanks to you Grant and Jeff) I read that you Grant, want to quit being the Web Czar!!:furious: You have done such a GREAT job of it!!:dance::dance: Who else can replace you??? I'd take the job, however, as you know, I don't know the difference from a CD drive to a DVD/ROM drive... Damn, I'm lucky to be able to put on photos!!!:banghead: If you're gonna quit, I surely hope that someone as smart as you will take the task...:) I will miss you.

Did you read that in the board nominations article? I'm stepping down from the board, because the position I'm accepting of "Communications Director" combines web and print communications and will be as much as I can handle.
Sorry if it wasn't clear.

Lynn,
I missed the part where Grant wants to quit being the Web Administrator. ( guess we need a better copy editor/proof reader) Several folks seem confused as to what was/is being looked for. Grant is the WEB ADMINISTRATOR who maintains the mechanics of the site. I don't believe that is changing. The NWBA was looking for a person to "generate and post Web CONTENT". Web Administration and Web Editior are not the same thing. Someone on the board will speak up if I've gotten this wrong.
Respectfully,

OK, that was in the presidents comments wasn't it? At that time I wanted SOMEONE to do both jobs and I felt we would have to find someone. Didn't know at the time it would be me.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to express my thanks and appreciation to Grant for the super-excellent job he has done on this forum (and elsewhere). It is unusual now-adays to find an individual like Grant with so much common sense that is willing to share that common sense in administering a web forum. So three cheers for Grant.

Thanks for pointing out the contradiction Lynn. Bob wrote that in early August after the Summer board meeting. I very much wanted one person to coordinate all communications whether on the website or in the Hot Iron News. At the time I felt that it would be easier for someone to do that if I gave up my position. I did not foresee that Jeff and I would need to produce the fall newsletter.
Harold Heia and Larry Langdon were at the forefront of the Communications Committee at the time and were working toward producing the newsletter. Shortly thereafter they each had personal tragedies that were far more important than the newsletter.
After producing this newsletter, I decided that I might have the opportunity to demonstrate exactly how (I felt) the website and newsletter could work as a single coordinated entity rather than the two being in competition. So, I asked to be considered for the new position.

Thanks Grant for stepping into this position... You are a great asset to the association, not only for the way you maintain the website, but for your willingness to share your knowledge as a master forger... I appreciate you for giving of your time.:inlove::inlove::inlove:
