On April Fool's Day, Chikemin forge will host an open forge day. There are plans so far for the following: 2 coal forges, 3 gas forges, 6 anvils, from 85# to 260# all spread out around the driveway and shop. You can show up and do whatever you want, within reason. It's all hand work as there is only one 50# little giant hammer died for drawing out. There will be some small scraps of bar stock. There will be some coal and propane. Hammers, tongs, and other stuff will be laying around. I am hoping this day will be the start of many more open forge days for the NWBA. Please help me with your ideas and participation. I'ts rural, it's in the woods, it has a house and a restroom. We will have a bonfire all day for some costco hot dogs. Search the map for my location. Its at 1041 andy cooper rd,Port Ludlow wa 98365.Its on the Olympic Penisula,2 miles west of the Hood Canal Bridge.Come early stay late.

Please tell all your friends( as I am not too computer adapt). More notes: dogs welcome, bring an idea to share with everyone, bring guests, and you don't have to be a member to come. No skills required. Spread the news.

Thank you Bruce, we had a lot of fun. I learned how not to do several things. Including breaking off and burning off the tip. Cam

Sorry, we did not make the April Fools day Hammer time. We actually chose to have our own Hammer time at home since we finally got our hammer running with new hammer dies! Just sorry we didn't make it out to your place to have fun as well. perhaps we shall see you at Longview? We will be there!
