Beginner looking for Apprentice/Assistant Position - Seattle, WA | Help Wanted or Available | Forum

Hello all, my name is Nathaniel Chapman. I have recently moved to Seattle and am looking for work.
I am looking for an assistant or apprentice blacksmith position. Though my formal training and experience is in Computer Science. I am looking to learn something new and more active. I love working with my hands and have a very small amount of blacksmithing (heating and bending mostly) and metalworking experience (MIG Welding, Plasma cutters, etc.). I am a passable motorcycle mechanic, and I also have some some carpentry and sculptural training. Most of my work has been fairly small scale, but I do have some larger shop experience with theatrical set construction and lighting.

I am really looking for a new challenge and would be open to part time or even unpaid (for a short time) positions to learn.
