Trackers PDX blacksmithing/bladesmithing is expanding. We are looking for Summer staff. Posiibly more. Position is blacksmith/bladesmith assistant instructor. During camps. Teaching youth mostly blacksmithing and possibly some bladesmithing. We have grown the blacksmith/bladesmith program in the last few years since I took over and are hoping to run multiple classes at the same time now. Thus needing more staff.

You'll be either assisting myself or Caleb Booth in teaching youth blacksmithing/bladesmithing. There are chances that you could help fill in as an instructor/assistant for other outdoor/survival camps also. So experience in ourdoors activities, such as tracking, kayaking, fishing, archery, bow making, etc. Hand skills such as carpentry or pottery, primitive fire or shelter, etc. Or teaching youth experience is helpful, but not necessarily needed.

Hours are roughly Monday through Friday 07:30-4:00 all Summer long. Staff training is pretty much a week long camping trip at one of our outdoors locations, with blacksmithing and other things thrown in.
