Website users have access to a web user dashboard. You must be logged in to access the dashboard.

  1. Login
  2. At the very top of your web browser window is a bar that has links in it. 
    1. Wordpress logo on the far left will take you to info about wordpress.
    2. The House Icon Northwest Blacksmith Association link takes you to the Dashboard if you are at the home page, and to the Dashboard if you are browsing the website. 
    3. The Howdy on the right side of the same top bar takes you to your Profile, or to a log out link.
  3. The Dashboard has a summary of activity on the website; new posts, latest comments, who is online and more. There is a link in the left hand column of the dashboard to the Profile page.
  4. Profile: you can change and update your password, email address, first and last name, website, facebook info. Remember to click the UPDATE PROFILE button at the very bottom of the form to make sure your changes are saved.

SEE REPLY BELOW FOR ALTERNATE METHOD OF ACCESSING THE PROFILE WHICH GIVES ACCESS TO EVEN MORE FEATURES.

ALTERNATE METHOD TO ACCESS PROFILE FROM FORUM PAGES:

  1. LOGIN
  2. GO TO FORUM
  3. At the top of the FORUM page are buttons: Members, Subscribed, Inbox, Profile, Log Out
  4. Click Profile to access your account information.
    1. Edit Profile: to change name, website and bio
    2. Edit Identities: to add and change social media account info.
    3. Edit Avatar: to add or change your profile image that shows next to posts. If no image is posted a default one is shown.
    4. Edit Signature: to add a little signoff saying to your posts.
    5. Account Settings: to change your email address and password.
  5. Explore the other tabs on this page and see more info on your web account. You can subscribe to follow forum topics, and these are managed in this area.
