Have been an NWBA member from the start. sick of S.W.Colo. weather am thinking about moving to Grants Pass area give or take 100 miles. Will be in that area from May 9 to about May 16 or so. Would like to visit with any blacksmiths in that area. Not coming to compete, want to semi-retire. Use to be in Yelm W.A. years ago but that is a little to damp for me. phone is 970 563 4111 or email nancyadams464@centurytel.net Give a holler, Smokey Adams

Good luck Smoky, I used to live in Grants Pass though and if you think Yelm was too damp I cant see that its an improvement. Great place, but more fog and damp than here just south of Seattle...

Whatever you are, be a good one.

Hey Smokey, So Nancy is still craving her ''ocean fix'' I see...I've been having similar thoughts about leaving CO myself and have been looking at areas a tad east of the Cascades which are within a couple of hours of the coast and are way drier. Cle Elum, Ellensburg and Wenatchee look allot drier and don't get the soggy weather dreaded by a M/D character such as myself.......Good luck, Bruce

Same as Bruce said. 20 miles west of here you can get 110" of rain per year, 20 miles east it is down to 6". Right here in the Columbia River Gorge between Mt. Hood and Mt Adams we get about 26" of rain, but lots of wind. Lots of economic activity on the Oregon side, not so much north of the river.
