Good day everybody. Total blacksmithing noob here. Always thought it was something very cool but never had any desire to do it until I watched a couple of guys at the Oregon state fair. Got to talking to the one gentleman and while we stood there talking I watched him make a Tomahawk. When he was done I bought one from him for next to nothing and came away with a desire to bend metal to my will. LOL Just kidding.
That Hawk goes into the woods with me every time I go out. It is by far my favorite woods tool.
Since then I have been reading up on and watching YouTube videos on the subject and slowly getting the things together to give it a go. Need to put together a forge, find a place to get coal and I can get to trying this.
Just a friendly HELLO from a guy in the Portland burbs. You will be seeing lots of silly questions from me. Thank you in advance for your patience.
HALITO. 😉
Don't take life so seriously, it isn't permanent.
