Greetings, I am Morgan Kirk.

I've been going to the NWBA meetings at the Longview Expo Center for a year now, and it has been an amazing experience doing blacksmithing. Currently I have been unable to do any smithing besides that which I can do at the center due to complications in life, though I am near getting my forge built; a good burner is eluding me.

I have made several knives by cutting out the metal and getting them as a knife should be (tempered, edged, etc.), but just making knives like that is becoming boring and dissatisfactory. I have gotten some ideas on making some items, like a picture stand, but haven't been able to make them yet. Blacksmithing is an amazing art, and I am glad I found the NWBA.

Anyways, I suppose that's my "hello".

Kirk:  Keep on pounding!  When I first started out I would  take any old  scrap and try to make something or anythiing out of it, and learned a lot about what happens when you hit it this way or that.  Take a good look at the burners at the training center...very simple design, our look up how to make ribbon burners if you have a source of crayons.  Get it hot, hit it hard!  Jim

Thanks! I've taken a look at the burners at the center, but I have yet to find a coupling that goes from copper pipe to propane tube as those.
