Hello everyone!
My name is Cody, I hail from the far north of Washington. I've been thinking about getting into blacksmithing or metal work for years, and this year I've finally taken the plunge, and started getting equipment together. I've got a small 70lb anvil, made myself a simple brake drum forge. And then about two weeks later, the fires and burn bans hit the state. Now that things are cooling off, I'm hoping the burn bans will be lifted soon, and I can really get things cooking! This forum seemed like a good place to post in, and introduce myself. I've watched a lot of videos online, and read a lot of information, but I know that is nothing compared to the experience of actually doing something. I know I'll make mistakes, and have many questions, and I hope I've come to the right place for them. Excited to learn this craft!
