Glad to have you! Sounds like you must have a forge if you are going to be building tools... Check out the forum... Look at "traditional blacksmithing"... might give you some ideas... Also, I'd suggest you get a copy of Mark Aspery's book. I forget the name, but it is his first one. Lots of great photos and instruction on making tools... The NWBA conference is coming mid-May... Check the news on this site for the exact dates... This will be a 4 day conference featuring 2 demonstrators each demonstrating for 12 total hours... There also will be "hands-on" classes where you can draw out for a class and learn some really good basic stuff... There are many skilled smiths who will be at the conference, and you can ask questions of any of them, and they will give you an answer, and probably take you over to an anvil and show you the answer... Be sure and join! You cannot find a better blacksmith organization!
