I think this site will be great. Be interesting to see how many blacksmiths/knifemakers/metal crafts folks use it. I personally post on mostly knifmakers forums, of which my favorite is British Blades. This is a test also for inserting a image.
The bottom blade was packed in damp woodstove ashes overnight. It etched the blade in some spots.
Kind of hard to see in this image, the top blade was soaked in bleach in a pyrex pan, the bleach etched small spots on the blade, the texture near the handle was done hot under a power hammer using a old rasp for a top tool.
The bottom blade has some faint circular lines, these were done in photoshop, the lines should have been wider.
End of test, posting, inserting image and editing.
Cool forum and posting software Grant, I think it should be a big hit with iron pounders around the country

Just had to get in here first didn't you? Good seeing you Gene, hope we see a lot more of you in here. Really cool and really unique knives.
Pretty nice to be able to put pictures where you want them on the page, isn't it?
OBTW: this is where you are supposed to introduce yourself, can't you read?
“There are painters who transform the sun into a yellow spot,
but then there are others who, with the help of their art and their intelligence,
transform a yellow spot into the sun.” ~ Pablo Picasso ~
