Got this from a horse farmer in Kenosha, WI today. Just cleaned it up...it looks pretty darn flat on top, and the corners don't look too bad either. Serial # 9529 on front foot.

Any ideas of its age?? What do you think?? It looks fairly little used.

Looks like a winner, nice size and nice condition...

Whatever you are, be a good one.

Good Morning,

When you get a good anvil, it doesn't matter when it was born. It matters that you now have a child that hasn't been abused. It's a keeper!! Ask Grandma to knit a touque for it (maybe YOU can knit one). Keep the friends away from it, it's YOUR baby. Sledge Hammer work is done on another candidate, Jewelry is done on your Baby.;);)

Enjoy the privilege.

The book Anvils in America says that serial #s 9,001 to 16,000 were made in 1894..
Face should be 4x16 1/2 inches
Horn 10 1/2 "
Hardie 7/8 "
Pritchel 9/16 "
That anvil looks to be in excelent condition.
