Had a lot of fun this weekend at the Cal Conference in Ferndale. What really made it special was finding a tool I've been looking for for 35 friggin years. I don't even see these on E-bay. A Reed Mfg. hydraulic vise. The piece on the left goes on the floor and has a foot pump and a foot release. The vise is 6" and really stout. No more turning the handle with my knee, Hoohoo! Had a price of $350 the first day and I thought of offering $200, next day he had $200 on it!

Yeah I would have bought it.... It would have went nice next to my Enerpac hydraulic vise I just bought...

How was the shindig other than the fine vise find?

Grant.... It's unsettling you went wanting for anything for 35 years. I would have expected you would build it....

Thought about it many times, just never got a round tuit. But I knew they were out there and there was one with my name on it (be easier to say if my name was "Reed").
