I have a tire power hammer that I built several years ago in a group build at Larry L’s shop.
I need to bolt it down onto my 3 foot thick concrete block that I built into the shop floor. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on the the best concrete anchor bolts and size to use. This thing will walk across the floor when not bolted down and I’m worried that normal anchor bolts will just pull out.
Also I was wondering if putting a 3/8” thick horse stall mat would be good to put between the base and the floor before I bolt it down.
Thank you for your input in advance.

I've never anchored a power hammer, so take this for what its worth. I think horse stall mat may be good of you take Some things into account. The mat has an amount of give so under heavy weight and impact watch for breakdown of the material resulting in loosening at the anchors. Supporting the entire footprint rather than just the anchor locations means less concentrated force thus longer life. As for anchor fasteners my choice would be to avoid any type of wedge anchor bolt and use expanding type anchor cement or concrete specific construction epoxy to set bolts designed for that application. Those are readily available at Lowe's, home depot or the like. With mat you should periodically check tightness, but if you go without it you will need to shim the bolt locations carefully. I hope that was useful, but if anyone has experience I would defer to their advice.
