Fixxer Upper, new coat of paint, it be just like new. This would make a perfect blacksmith shop, with a hacksaw and welder easy to remodel.

Air conditioning in a steel house, bet it would cost big money.

Here is a steel house, part of a ship. land locked in Hansville, Wa, It's about 12 miles away from our home, not on waterfront but perhaps 200 feet away from Puget Sound, Hansville, Wa, low maintenance, just break out your chipping hammer every 10 years and repaint.

Lightning and tornado proof.

Gene, you are either a trendsetter or a mind reader. Mother Earth News had an article this month on turning silos into dwellings.

And several colleges are working on plans to convert shipping containers into building code approved housing. Ours was called the Eco-Box.

Heck I'd live in a hole like a hobbit if I could find one of those minute man missile silos people got for a buck years ago. And doesnt the Coast Gaurd need to inspect that dwelling every few years 😀
