Sword of Sam

I forged this sword as an experiment in forging techniques, I had a rough idea but the steel went otherwise and I let it. It worked out, and became something entirely new and really what I was going for anyway (LOTR ruined leaf blades, which is what I was going for). It turned into a sort of iron age bronze age hybrid style, almost anthropomorphic, and the pommel shapes really can show up as different things the more you look at it. I am completely pleased with it, it has become my personal sword. It is forged from one piece entirely, tapering from 3/8" to nothing, it looks heavy but those that have held it so far are incredibly surprised by the balance and feel of it. It really moves, presence in the cut yet light and fast, it feels ready for a fight it's a very neat feeling. It embodies everything I feel I currently want in a sword. Forged from 5160, quenched under the full moon. The Sword of Sam.
