Been seeing this anvil in Montana for a few years. I heard that shop was moving so I stopped in to see if I could buy it. No. Would have made a great addition to our Association. Well.... The anvil is hollow, made from cold 1/4" mild plate, 3 dimension, totally to scale. I could not find out what it weighed.

Now why would you say something like that?

My dad has told me story's about a big sheet metal anvil in Montana, however I dont think thats it...

Whatever you are, be a good one.

Fred Moore, an anvil collector from New Mexico (he owns around 800 anvils), had a few large sheet metal anvils made. They weren't this big though. His were about 6' long and about 2 1/2" feet high. Two guys can carry one fairly easily.

I have a picture of one from quad state last year. When I figure out how to edit the photo to hide the guys in the picture, I will post it.

If any of you crazy kids wants to buy one of these, I think Matchlessantiques will be selling one on ebay in the not-too-distant future.
