I want to make a 3000F furnace that I can melt pure iron, and although I'm just starting out and I don't have a lot of money but I can save it and build it one piece at a time and I want it to use coal for fuel and it double purposed that I can put a piece of metal in it and heat it up or melt metal with it. and the anvil I got a vise that has one but I want an anvil that I can use without using the vise for what I need but the one at the local harbor freight is not good enough made of cast iron and I need something stronger and a little heavier.

I can't say that I'm very familiar with foundries, but I think ultimately you would want two different heat sources: one foundry and one forge. With the foundry, the heat is mostly vertical, and you would have to put all your pieces in vertically, which is not recommended with coal because you could overheat the tip of whatever you put in without heating up where you want properly. Is your question about making one?
As for anvils: Just keep looking around. If you look on ebay, most of the anvils on there are from the east coast, and can come at a decent price without as expensive shipping as if someone from Washington were to order from Pennsylvania. (Over $200.)

Not so much melting as smelting, look into a Evanstad hearth (spelling?). You should be able to multipurpose it as a table top sized small volume smelting and forging. Note you'll be removing the facing wall to use as a side blast forge.
I prefer Nimba anvils but for a cheap farriers anvil NC tool company has some in the $300.00 range. Barring that a sledge hammer head embedded in a stump will work. Just clean the face.
