I know this is Grant's video and it may be cheeky posting it here but I'm hoping he'll come in with some thoughts on his toggle arrangement and it's geometry. The more I watch this video the more I want to modify mine to a toggle. I don't have the space to go for four foot arms and it will be a lot of hassle (for now) to get springs made up to replace the rigid links.
My treadle height can cause problems cos by the time I've manoeuvred my foot up there and "steeled" myself for a blow, the tool and work I'm holding has often moved. Hence the interest in a toggle.
I've recently been using mine a lot (and have made a fair bit of tooling for it) but am beginning to realise how compromised it is.
Workshop is too cramped to stand back and get the treadle all in one shot, psychedelic colours are because wherever possible I'm starting to colour code tools. Saves a STACK of time when you'r constantly picking up/ putting down lots of different ones
Yeah, got it now Grant, medium and centre
