Hello All,

I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions for books covering advanced hammering techniques, specifically raising.  I quite prefer reading paper, not a screen when it comes to information and reference.  Any suggestions would be most appreciative. =)

Adolph Steines Moving Metal page 28 through 34 covers the basics of raising as well as any. There’s also information in You can also look for instructions on auto-body work. IIRC the reinactment community has some self-published pamphlets on armor-making, which use these same techniques.

See also Paul Hasluck Metalworking and Herbert Maryon Metalwork And Enameling also have useful information.

No matter where you go... there you are.
