I have been having a blast playing with all the fun hammers I have been fortunate enough to get to make. I thought I would show you the hammers in the different stages of production. The hammers on the right are as forged. That is this is how they look prior to grinding. The second group of hammers have been annealed and rough ground. Next the hammers are heated to critical temperature and then oil quenched and tempered. The finish is a glass finish with polished faces. The rounding hammers are 1.5lbs up to 3.5lbs. The hammers looked covered in Silka flex and well thats because they are....I just dont have a clean way. The great news is that after it dries the excess is easily removed with wire brush.
