As soon as I figure out how to I'll add in the pictures of this hammer and it's sister hammer just forged. There is still a little bit of clean up to do but it was getting dark and rainy looking on my porch. This hammer was forged and file finished at the Fort, today I went and handled it for use tomorrow. I directed during this hammer forging and Mike Theisen struck. He directed on it's sister and I struck.
Hope y'all enjoy. We started with 4 1/2" of 2" round 1045 for each hammer so before forging weight would of been just shy of 4 lbs. No scale so not sure of current weights.

Thank you Lynn. I enjoy making hammers and tooling for them. I've got on my project list soon to make some 2 lbs hammers both cross pein and rounding. All done by "traditionally" though I might do the finish with a horrible fright belt sander, which isn't period at all, heehee. I should of stuck this in the show and tell section though, oh well it's all good.
Now that I've figured out how to take and post some pictures I'll have to do more.
