Alan Turing was a British mathematician who proposed the idea of a "test" which could be passed by an "artificial intelligence" that was "good enough" to pass for human.

The term "Turing Test" is more popularly used these days to denote those tests which differentiate software from people. This website has a Turing test - one must do math prior to submitting each post.

I respectfully suggest a less invasive and nearly as effective procedure would be to apply a Turing test to new forum members signing up.

No matter where you go... there you are.

Amy, by the way... the time is off on this thing... I posted about 20 minutes ago and the forum thing says it was 7 hours ago...  Thanks for your efforts...

Yes, I think I got rid of the math thing... let me know if it still appears for you. Thanks for pointing it out. And, I changed one thing on the forum time zone and it seemed to be the right time within the forum post and the wrong time in the list at the side of the page... still sleuthing this out.
keep the suggestions and bug reports coming, this helps me a lot.
thanks for your patience

The time issue is weird... in the posting area, to the left of the posts where the avatar images are, the time stamp is correct. On the right, the wordpress generated list... the time stamp is wrong.  I will get to work on this. so sorry I thought I had found the right fix. I only half did. I will keep on it until it is right.
