I am new to all this, so could anyone give me an idea what to expect at this conference. I have been forging knives and hand finishing them for just over one year. What should I bring? I want to participate in EVERYTHING and learn all that I can.

Bring your Pencil and notebook, Camera, Chair, Money for the auction (and an Auction item is a good idea, SUPPORT THE CAUSE!and show your work!).

Some tools and any special steel you need for your own project.

Hammer and some tongs helpful, poss Splitting chisel and Punches assorted chisels BUT that is based on what you wish to make, or class you may get into.

There are open forges during the late evenings Fri and Sat. (you might need your own beverages!) This is usually entertaining and a good opportunity for new smiths.

There are Some hands on Classes you may enter a drawing to get involved in.

You will get most out of taking notes, asking questions, and paying attention to the smithing that is going on around you.

Plus, the Tailgating and other great deals you will find, and a bunch of noisy, boisterus, good natured smiths and friends. Some good food too for a couple of meals!

      GOOD TIMES!
