John Turkington in Monroe,Or(Farrier Supplies) sells good coal. David Thompson in Eugene had some nice coke for sale at last conference. If you talk to him I can bring you up some to the Western States. Eugene is just a short couple of hours from you.

Nick Marceljas at Red Troll Forge was selling 50# bags of Coke. Try him at 360-921-3804. Let us know if he is still selling it, as I have people asking me the same question.

  9. Cheap coal-Central Fuel Company in Chehalis

    Hey there

I used to buy my coal from Valley Farrier in Beaver Creek, which was expensive! $23 per 50 lb bag.
Another member gave me a heads up and directed me to Central Fuel co. in Chehalis (Thanks Tom!) that sells it for $13 per 60-65 lb-ish bag, or 12 cents a pound in bulk.
I was expecting a very inferior quality coal, but was pleasantly surprised. I actually like it better than the Bradford Energy stuff that Valley Farrier was selling.
It is a hard coal from Utah, takes a bit to get going, but burns well, has some rocks in it, but the clinkers are noticeably less.

I also live in Portland, and can make it up to Chehalis and back in 2.5 hrs. I personally wouldn't make the trip unless I would buy a large quantity.

    Anyways..hope this helps
