Thanks Dave, The stump is cottonwood and that hunk has been muchly abused.
They always grow by rivers and can get huge, 6-7 ft in diameter. When they bloom they FILL the air with balls of ''cotton''....It's light and that's why I keep the motley thing around....jus blabin'
