    A little different barbecue

I did the metal on this, he did the brick. Got it done just in time for his 3oth wedding anniversary. He cooked a whole pig. The counterweights make it quite easy to open. The lid is made from 16 ga so is quite heavy. Used up a few samples around the shop to make a little nicer handles.

Cool! First picture looks like shore defenses! Very clean, sets off the handles. So, what's the wheel for?

    Thanks Grant
The wheel is to raise and lower the coals to the grille or spit. I used a screw jack that moves up and down parallel. It raises a 30"X46" trough that has the coals. He said it works real good. He has used quite a few barbecues and says he likes the coals moving instead of the spit or grille.

That's one sweet piece! And where it's sitting has a great view to boot! That thing should last for at least a year ya think? hehe. Very nice by the way
