Hello, my name is Stuart Geisler. I am a hand tool manufacturer in Pennsylvania. After reading Weygars' Books, and Alex Bealer in the early 1970's, I lucked out and found an advertisement in the Philadelphia Inquirer seeking an apprentice blacksmith for a company called American Hoist and Derrick. I served that apprenticeship for five years, under Fyodor Czub, who in his youth was the shop foreman of the blacksmith shop at the Moscow Locomotive Works. While working under him, I slowly but surely accumulated equipment for starting my own business. After finishing my apprenticeship, under excellent terms with my employer, they subsequently subcontracted all their work to me, which gave me a running start for my new business. I have been blacksmithing for the last 34 years, full time. Just for the fun of it, I took a job recently at a Wild West theme park in New Jersey, Wild West City, where I demonstrate this craft on weekends. Therefore, I am a seven-day-a-week blacksmith. I marvel at the happy coincidences which allowed me to do what I like for a living. I am truly blessed!
