I am from Columbia SC. I am new to blacksmithing. I took a beginners course at John C Campbell Folk Art Center in western North Carolina about 13 months ago. I found this forum when I googled post vise. I use a gas forge.
I am 64 and an old do it your selfer. I have a metal lathe and mill that I have used for about 30 years. I am enjoying this new hobby.
