The map is here, add your location now!

The "Blacksmiths of the World" map is located HERE <-(click on it)

Just make a post right here with your name/business name, location (get your location from Google maps), And any information you want to add.

Click on one of the markers for more information. Switch to "satellite" to get photo view.

Much appreciation and thanks go to our cartographer Ryan Wilson for creating this for us and volunteering to keep it up to date with all the information people provide! Way Cool!

    Getting your location:

To get your location, first go to Google Maps
Type in your address to find you
    Switch to "satellite" mode
On the right side you should see : Directions Search nearby Save to ...more▼
Click on more to change the marker if needed
Once you have it where you want it add any information you want to appear and save your map
Then go to "links" toward the top right and click
Choose the first one "Paste link in email or IM"
Copy that link and paste it in your post
Ryan will much appreciate it and it will make your location more exact

Yes, it's OK to just give your address and information if you are Google challenged!

Funny, I was able to move my marker and make it stay where I put it, but when I try to do that with others it just goes back. Can anyone figure out how to make a moved marker stay?

I tried making the marker move and it would not move. How did you get your link to stay as a close up? mine stays as a neighbourhood view. Stupid new computer keeps telling me the Canadian spelling is wrong, I believed it in my last post.

I zoomed in and moved the marker (it stayed where I put it) and used that link. To move the marker click on the marker and you should get a balloon, click on "more" and you should have the "move marker" option.

    More to learn, I fear.
