That's what MS Paint can do in less than 5 minutes. I TOTALLY misunderstood your post, Larry L. I was just commenting on the basics of isolating and refining a snub end. 9am on a Saturday is too early for critical thinking![]()
I'm assuming it's going to come down to the first fuller operation after you get the button isolated and punched. Fullering the top of the stock causes it to bow slightly along the length with greater effect towards the tip where the groove widens. Kind of like how you counter bend a blade before forging the bevel.
Of course I could be WAY off since I've never tried one of these, but I plan on trying one soon so I'm sure I'll have a pile of ugly wings

But I do think I got a pretty good handle on the proses now anyway... But I feel pretty good about how the metal moves, now all i need is practice
