    SUNBURST

    1/4" Steel plate "'rays" convoluted in the ph with an upper 3" ball die and a lower cup die. The center is an 8"dia x 5" hole x 8" long bit of tube. An upper "corner'' die was hammered into the top of the edge............7 ft dia, 8 in. thick, 140 lbs. .......bm

    What's the finish? 8"x8" what did you hit that with? Cool piece.

    The finish is just brass aerosol from ace. The paint has since had a gun blu wash patina, for those of who don't know, most brass paint can take a patina .Hoisting that bad boy up for an updated pic was too much,sorry.
    The 8"x 8" cyl was forged with the "corner" die, d1. The "corner" faces front when used. I had to weld a handle every 33 deg. and work 3 divets at a time, a bit labor intensive.
    The ball and cup are what they are.............bm
