1901 Spanish American War Memorial
The Lane County Historical Society and Museum in Eugene, Oregon, is seeking information on cost to reconstruct ironwork on a 1901 Spanish American War Memorial. The ironwork was removed around 1960 and the remaining portions of the fountain were donated to the museum a short time afterward. The ironwork is the first phase of what, will hopefully be, a full restoration of the fountain. The registrar, Heather Kliever, will use the bid information to seek out grants for the iron reconstruction work.
