Our new website is up and running, and ready to grow as the NWBA grows. We hope that you find it easier to navigate to what you need.
If you were a member on our old site, your membership has been ported over to here and your password has been emailed to you. If you did not receive your email you can click on the “Forgot your password?” link to reset it. Please do not hesitate to contact the webmaster for help: webmaster@blacksmith.org.
The Gallery is a section, both photos and video, that is still in transition. We are working on setting up the new gallery and it will be open to the public as soon as it is ready. The Gallery is only temporarily closed, so keep your eye out for notice of its availability.
The Members Only Access areas that were previously tucked into the forum are now pages available through the main navigation menu. They still require a person to be logged in and their web user account has to be set to NWBA Member (done by administration). Find our current membership roster, the library, and current Hot Iron News issues by navigating with the horizontal menu just under the website header on every page.
Our Forums ported over intact, all attachments and embedded files and conversations. There are occasional appearances of code, as our new system is showing embedded bb code instead of translating (bb code is a shortcode system used in some bulletin board/forum systems). However, the forum conversations that took place after the database was ported over to this new site are not here. That means the forum posts from after June 4, 2013 may not be included here. I apologize for this, but I felt that it was better to allow the conversations to continue on the old site rather than shut the system down completely.
Please, take some time to browse the new site, post in the forum, get to know the new layout. As with all complex systems there may be some bugs to work out at first, we thank you in advance for your patience and understanding… and if you find anything that needs fixing please let us know.
