April 10th, 1942 – April 26th, 2015

It is with a heavy heart that we recently learned of Richard Tinder’s passing. Richard had been serving on the board of the NWBA since January 2014 and had been a member for many years. He spent most of his working career as the Metal Shop Instructor at Hoquiam High School in 1982 where he taught his love of metal work until his retirement in June 2011.

Comments

  1. I am sad to say I only got to know Richard in the last couple of years. I really enjoyed viisting with him at the conferences, and we seemed to hit it off real well. He will be missed.

  2. Richard was a pleasure to know. His love for metalworking and teaching youth, his gentle manner and his willingness to listen and learn were amenable to everyone is I saw him come in contact with.

    He will be missed.

    “Rest Well Sir”.
