2016 ABANA Conference Salt Lake City
at the FAIRPARK
The 2016 Conference theme is EDUCATION — the reason ABANA was started! There will be hands-on demonstrations, teaching tents, seminars, and evening forging competitions! All metalsmiths and farriers are welcome, there will be something for everyone! It all happens under tents on a grassy open area, along with air-conditioned buildings!

The conference focus in on Education, giving you multiple opportunities to participate with all the featured metal crafts – Blacksmithing, Damascus Billet, Farrier Forging, Repousse, Fold-Forming, Patination and Youth Forging. Main demo tents will feature Bladesmithing; Forging Steel Bronze and Copper as well as Aluminum Sculpture.
Beginning to advanced demos: architectural and sculptural blacksmithing, repousse, foldforming, damascus billet making.
Expanded teaching tents and new youth and farrier tents: participate with the demonstrators
Experience the design and building of a custom railing with an on-site install
Professional seminars on building and marketing your business, how to photograph your work, and the future of blacksmithing
