That was revision 2.0! Figured I'd better quit eye-balling them. Hard to come up with a stop in forge work because the work grows. In this case it would be enough to move the stops or push the work away and misalign the punch. Little leaf spring tongues work well too, But I made this one to be adjustable.

Not a video at all, just looks like it because it's panning and zooming. Just a slideshow made from still photos.

One thing I was waiting for someone to pick up on was the orientation of the ends in the picture where I'm hammering it down to finish size. Why don't they line up, I here you ask? Well, I upset the balls for these and they would often come out with a bit of a flat spot in one area. By putting the flat up rather than to one side it finishes nice and round. If you look at the balls and rotate them, there was always one direction where they looked nice and round, that's how we chose where to flatten them. Later when we heated the middle to bend them, it was a simple matter to twist them straight first.
