I want to thank everyone ( Darrel, Tom and their crew) that helped put on the event in Government Camp.

I had to be a ton of work behind the scenes to make sure the equipment, tents, anvils and forges, archives, the ski shop, schedule etc. all came together so the rest of us just had to show up and enjoy the event.

Agreed,
I had a great time and really appreciate the effort of the volunteers and staff to pull it off. I made some new friends, caught up with old ones, had a great time BS'ing in the tailgate area. I thought the gallery and musuem were world-class. Well done!

They only remember you when you SCREW UP~!!!

I would also like to thank everyone involved in the Government Camp Conference. It was a delight to get to attend, roam around and not have to go 30 miles to get dinner either! It was a great place and a great time!

Thank you again to ALL who made this happen, an awesome time was had by all I am sure! Thanks to the folks that put this together and made it happen.

Fire on the Mountain was the best conference ever! Great time, great fun, great demos, great blacksmith wars and on, and on, and ---------. If you did not get too the conference eat your heart out! Hard to imagine the work it took for this event to come off as good as it did. Thanks to each and every one of you that made this possible!
The only part of the entire experience I did not greatly enjoy was the dinner. We have had much better meals served in the past. But -- that is just my opinion.

Thanks for the comments guys it is greatly appreciated. I would like to thank those of you who helped out and made our job easier, if it was not for the dedication of the NWBA members none of this would be possible, so my hat is off to you.

It was the best event I have had the privilege to be part of that is for sure.

Many thanks to all,

Tom

It's funny, as I learn more, I find demos ever MORE valuable.

The magic of the sword bending and then bending back in front of us (we need to make a video of that!!!), watching a knife being heat treated with a torch, and about a zillion other useful things, that was all great and super informative.

It was also very interesting to see the collection of tools - big power hammer, small power hammer, hydraulic press, various hand tools, and see them used.

So thank you very much to everybody who helped with it.
