So I just saw the recently posted schedule for this upcoming conference - is there really no blacksmithing demo Saturday afternoon? It's replaced by blacksmith wars/&/hands on? I suppose you can't be in all the places at once anyway. But is that correct?

I sure do wish I could be there for more the event, but taking time off just wasn't an option this week.

And I can't seem to find any details about the Saturday night dinner anywhere?

Anne,
very little info was posted about the banquet, but on the home page of the westernstatesconference.com site it says: Banquet on Saturday Night at Timberline’s WyEast Day Lodge
and also in the schedules. There is no other mention of it on the site. The lodge where it is going to be is a very nice setting and the meal should be good too.
The auctions have been moved to a smaller auction each day, not up at the lodge at the banquet.

As for Saturday afternoon:
1:00 pm -4:00 pm
Blacksmith Wars / Site #1
Gunsmiths: Jon Laubach & Richard Sullivan / Site #3
Hands-On Blacksmithing / Site #1
Repoussé: Jack da Silva / Site #1

The gunsmiths are doing blacksmithing, they are forging all the parts and barrel for a pistol.
It seems like a lot of blacksmithing is going on, just not a formal demo by people you want to see perhaps? Anyway, that is the lineup, and it is understood that we cannot please everyone with the scheduling.

Awesome, thanks!

You can't please all the people all the time, I do suppose. I'm sure that there will be more to see & do than I can do at once anyhow, I was just confused that there wasn't a "blacksmith" demo lined up for Saturday afternoon. I think checking out the Blacksmith Wars will be rad, and thanks about the info on the gunsmiths. It's not necessarily something I would go out of my way to watch, but perhaps I should.

Cheers!Laugh
