I noticed in the library section a book on Hardening, Tempering, Annealing & Forging Steel (1907) J. Woodworth. I was wondering if there's a book that is more up to date? There have been many changes in steel manufacturing since 1907. I would like a book on the above processes that include the steels used today.

I suggest the following, in the order presented:
Metallurgy of Steel for Bladesmiths & Others Who Heat Treat and Forge Steel by John D. Verhoeven (online)
Tool Steel Simplified by Palmer & Luerssen
Principles of Heat Treatment by Grossman & Bain (they named "bainite" for bain)
Principles of Heat Treatment of Steel by George Krauss (aka "Mr. Martensite")
-
Here are more titles, also good & also helpful:
Metals Handbook, Eighth Edition, Volume 2: Heat Treating And Finishing American Society for Metals
Metals Handbook, Ninth Edition, Volume 4: Heat Treating American Society for Metals
Mechanical Metallurgy by George Dieter (Do NOT try to read this one first. Have a copy of Calculus For Dummies on the same table.)
No matter where you go... there you are.
